CURRENT OPENINGS:

Development & Outreach Coordinator, Wilmington, NC

Report to:  Director of Business Development

Part-Time, 30 hours per week

BASIC FUNCTION: Implement fundraising and community outreach strategies in the greater Wilmington region. The Development & Outreach Coordinator cultivates donors, supports third-party fundraisers, and carries out marketing and outreach activities within community. This position also serves as a regional liaison for cancer patients and families to connect with the Foundation’s services.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Implement regional fundraising plan consistent with Foundation’s business development strategy
  • Responsible for donor research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
  • Work closely with Director of Business Development to identify giving opportunities and to create marketing strategies
  • Recruit and support businesses and groups to conduct Third-Party Fundraisers
  • Coordinate special fundraising and awareness events
  • Draft letters of inquiry and proposals for sponsorships and grants
  • Represent the Foundation at community events, fundraisers, and check presentations
  • Implement marketing and outreach strategies for fundraiser recruitment and Foundation awareness
  • Recruit and manage volunteers for regional community outreach and fundraising activities
  • Contribute to communication & marketing strategies through digital media and print
  • Serve as a regional liaison to cancer patients, families and healthcare providers to support access to Foundation services
  • Coordinate distribution of ancillary patient support resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Communication Intern, Marketing and Communications Team

Report to:  Director of Business Development

Time commitment:  flexible, to be determined upon acceptance

BASIC FUNCTION: support, implement and coordinate communication and marketing initiatives that help Pretty In Pink Foundation (PIPF) position itself in North Carolina as a premier nonprofit for breast cancer patients (Champions), volunteers, donors, board members and staff. Working for PIPF, this team member helps increase the understanding and support of PIPF strategies, goals, brand awareness and key initiatives among the various stakeholder groups. The communication intern will be part of the marketing team and will participate in executing communication and marketing strategies by writing and editing emails, internal and external communications, such as news releases, fact sheets and donor communication, contributing new ideas to the overall creative process and being a brand ambassador.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage social media channels
  • Write, edit and proofread content for e-newsletters, social media, websites, emails, digital signage, blogs and other communication as assigned
  • Manage the e-newsletter database, tracking new contacts and unsubscribed contacts
  • Manage the development and production of communication documents as assigned
  • Assist with other communication and marketing initiatives as assigned
  • Help with special events, community engagement as assigned
  • Ensure strategic information obtained from marketing leadership and other senior managers are incorporated in communications and marketing initiatives
  • Continually track, measure, evaluate and report achievements of communication goals with a focus on recommending and incorporating improvements as appropriate
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Act as in-house photographer
  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Pitch local media to secure media placement
