Kaitlyn’s Story

“How am I going to pay for my treatments, if my insurance doesn’t cover it?” That was Kaitlyn’s biggest concern after she was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 27 years old. Her mother died from the same disease when Kaitlyn was 6. As she began her own battle, Kaitlyn uprooted her life to be taken care of by family members and for better medical care. This also meant quitting her two jobs. That’s when she reached out to Pretty In Pink for help.

She spent 2020 going through IV chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and oral chemotherapy. But Kaitlyn is starting 2021 with strength, determination and no medical debt, thanks to Pretty In Pink…and thanks to our donors.
